Description
Initial letter S is capitalized. The letter is framed within a double-lined square. The letter is white on a black background, the background is studded with white dots. The letter is composed of one line which starts in the top middle of the page, curves up and to the left, down and to the right, and then down and back up to the left. A grinning grotesque face is positioned facing frontally under the upper curve of the S. The figure’s lower half is made of twisting vines and foliage. There are leaves, flowers, and vines behind the initial letter and spread out throughout the innermost box of the square.
