Description
An account of the resource
The open headpiece is centered on the top of the page and runs the width of the letterpress. The ornament shows three human heads in profile, facing the left side of the page. Each face has one closed eye. Each figure is wearing a headpiece; those on either side of the centre are filled with black ink, while the one in the centre is left uninked. Each headpiece has a different symbolic decoration in the centre, formed of geometric shapes. The hair on each head is divided into three long black strands decorated with three rectangular bands; the strands link and join in decorative spirals and interlaced knots under the heads.

Description
An account of the resource
The open headpiece is centred on the top of the page and runs the width of the letterpress. The headpiece shows three human figures of equal size from the bust up, spaced evenly with one at the centre and one on either side. Each is wearing a crown, is facing forward, and has their head resting on their hands, with their elbows resting on an open book. The figures on the left and right have their hands clenched, while the central figures has open hands. A double-ruled semi-circle is behind each person, filled with black ink; the one on the left is decorated with a trefoil design of white circles, the one in the centre has dagger-like white leaves, and the one on the right is decorated with a white flower on either side of the head. The figures on the left and right have open eyes, looking toward the central figure, whose eyes are closed or downcast. The figures on the left and right wear high, pointed collars, while the one in the centre has the clothing lying flat across their body. From left to right, their collars are decorated with squares, circles, and diamonds.

The open tailpiece is centred under the letterpress. The tailpiece is comprised of two continuous ribbons that interlace from the centre outwards. There are four ends that are placed equally apart, each with a small circle. From these terminal points, the ribbons are filled with black ink, except where there is overlapping. There is one large section of checkered knotwork at the centre of the ornament.

Description
An account of the resource
The open tailpiece is centred under the text. The geometric ornament is comprised of various shapes, lines, and ribbons., interlacing and knotting. At the centre is a pattern of small circles, a few of which are filled with black ink. Curved, double-ruled lines surround this pattern of circles, and then extend out to form the remainder of the ornament. Two diamonds filled with black ink are on either side of the centre, angled so that their tips point towards the top corners of the page. The lines extend down to form a point at the bottom of the ornament. Two triangles filled with black ink are placed just underneath the centre of the ornament, so that their tips point toward the bottom point of the ornament.

Description
An account of the resource
The open botanical headpiece is centred on the top of the page and runs the width of the letterpress. At the centre of the headpiece is a diamond; curved lines extend outward, with the ones at the top curving inwards in a slight spiral. Two stylized bell flowers on either side of these lines curve down towards the centre. Various curved shapes filled with black ink make up the space under the flowers. L-shaped, parallel lines frame either side of the diamond pattern; these extend out, up, and then out again before one line breaks off, curves down, and forms a stylized thistle.

Description
An account of the resource
The open irregular headpiece is centered on the top of the page and runs the width of the letterpress. On either side of the centre are two identical stylized fruits, likely grapes, formed by eight small black circles. Surrounding the fruits is a geometric pattern of diagonal lines. A black diamond shape is featured in the centre of the ornament.
