Description
An account of the resource
The open headpiece is centred on the top of the page and runs the width of the letterpress. The headpiece shows three human figures of equal size from the bust up, spaced evenly with one at the centre and one on either side. Each is wearing a crown, is facing forward, and has their head resting on their hands, with their elbows resting on an open book. The figures on the left and right have their hands clenched, while the central figures has open hands. A double-ruled semi-circle is behind each person, filled with black ink; the one on the left is decorated with a trefoil design of white circles, the one in the centre has dagger-like white leaves, and the one on the right is decorated with a white flower on either side of the head. The figures on the left and right have open eyes, looking toward the central figure, whose eyes are closed or downcast. The figures on the left and right wear high, pointed collars, while the one in the centre has the clothing lying flat across their body. From left to right, their collars are decorated with squares, circles, and diamonds.

Description
An account of the resource
The open headpiece is centered on the top of the page and runs the width of the letterpress. At the centre of the ornament is the stylized head of a cat; a mouse in profile, looking inward, stands on either end of the ornament. The cat’s head appears in a rectangular box formed of interlacing lines and ribbons in an angular geometric pattern. The paws of the mice reach out and touch the outer lines of the geometric pattern. Their tails extend out and interlace within the geometric pattern, forming knots.

Description
An account of the resource
The open tailpiece is centered under the text and is based on a Celtic cross design with human parts. At the top of the cross is a human head. Its hair is split into eight sections, four on either side. Each section extends down and ends in a slight curve, getting thicker as it moves away from the face. The space in between each section of hair is filled with black ink. The face has a mustache and short beard, split into eleven sections. The large cross forming the body has a hand extending from either side, and two feet, turned out, from the bottom. The cross is triple-ruled and filled with black ink. Interlacing ribbons and knotwork decorate the inside of the cross.

Description
An account of the resource
The tailpiece is centred under the text. The tailpiece is in the shape of a rounded square; The symmetrical tailpiece is made up of four identical quadrants, giving the effect of a kaleidoscopic design. Each quadrant contains a stylized trumpet flower pointing toward its respective corner, terminating in a circle. The centre of the ornament features a spiral design around a white circle. Angular lines in a toothed geometric pattern decorate the interior spaces of each quadrant.

Description
An account of the resource
The open geometric headpiece is centred on the top of the page and runs the width of the letterpress. A pattern comprised of sharp diagonal lines extends up from the vertical centre of the ornament; from this, more straight lines extend out on an angle, suggestive of stylized branches extending from a central tree trunk. The lines connect at the top, in an irregular tooth pattern. Another geometric pattern comprised of sharp horizontal lines runs across the bottom of the ornament with some sections filled with black ink. Four vertical shapes extend upward from this pattern, culminating in irregular triangular shapes.

Description
An account of the resource
The open tailpiece is centred under the text. The ornament is a stylized fish in profile, swimming towards the left side of the page. The fish’s body is decorated with small black ink-lined circles, like scales.. Multiple diagonal lines make up the fish’s fin and tail,, with the outline of the fish interlacing through them. A geometric pattern of rectilinear lines depend from the fish.

Description
An account of the resource
The open headpiece is centred on the top of the page and runs the width of the letterpress. The headpiece shows two human-like grotesque figures at each end. Each figure extends one arm towards the centre of the ornament, where they touch. Their legs splay out on either side of their bodies. Ribbons extend from each face, interlacing and forming knots, before overlapping above their connected hands; these ribbons could be hair. A large spiral extends from the outside of each face. Each figure appears to be wearing a pleated, belted, tunic, and is holding a large fan, which forms the outer edge of the image on either side.

Description
An account of the resource
The open headpiece is centred on the top of the page and runs the width of the letterpress. Two human faces are equally spaced on either side of the centre of the ornament. A geometric pattern consisting of sharp diagonal lines forming a triangular shape surrounds each face. On either side of each face are interlacing ribbons that form large knots on the top corner of the headpiece. The ornament is almost identical on both sides; however, there are slight differences where the ribbons interlace. Some sections are filled with black ink.

Description
An account of the resource
The open tailpiece is centred under the text. At its centre is a human face. Sharp diagonal lines extend out from the face, forming multiple points both on either side and below the face. Wings extend from either side of the face; the wings begin with a curved pattern, before extending out in sharp diagonal lines. The wings are at an angle, so that their tips point towards the top two corners of the page. Interlacing ribbons extend from the the top of the face, forming two knots at the top of the ornament. More interlacing knotwork extends from the bottom of the wings, forming a point at the bottom centre. Two spirals extend out from either side of these ribbons.

Description
An account of the resource
The framed tailpiece is centred under the text. The ornament is a double-lined square. The inside of the square is divided into nine equal sections; the four corners are closed squares and the four inner ones are open on the central side, forming an inner cross. The top middle square has a face. The remaining eight sections are filled with various patterns of circles, diamonds, lines, and squares. Circles extend from the four squares in the inner corners. Hands extend out from either side of the encompassing square, each holding a stylized branch.. Feet extend from the bottom of the square, and are placed against a black ink-filled background. Wavy lines extend from the top of the square, giving the appearance of hair; these lines are also against a black background.

Description
An account of the resource
The open headpiece is centred on the top of the page and runs the width of the letterpress. The ornament shows two almost identical human figures and torsos in profile, facing right.. They are both leaning forward, with their long, wavy hair flowing behind them. Underneath the two figures is a wave scroll that extends across the entirety of the ornament. The hair of the two figures extends down to create a spiral, intertwined with the wave scroll. A series of horizontal lines is underneath the wave scroll. Three fish swimming toward the left of the page appear inside the wave scroll and above the horizontal lines.

Description
An account of the resource
The open tailpiece is centred under the text. The geometric ornament is comprised of various shapes, lines, and ribbons., interlacing and knotting. At the centre is a pattern of small circles, a few of which are filled with black ink. Curved, double-ruled lines surround this pattern of circles, and then extend out to form the remainder of the ornament. Two diamonds filled with black ink are on either side of the centre, angled so that their tips point towards the top corners of the page. The lines extend down to form a point at the bottom of the ornament. Two triangles filled with black ink are placed just underneath the centre of the ornament, so that their tips point toward the bottom point of the ornament.

Description
An account of the resource
The open headpiece is centered on the top of the page and runs the width of the letterpress. The headpiece shows two human faces facing frontally. Behind the two faces is a zig-zag pattern that is comprised of diagonal lines filled with black ink of varying thickness. Each face is enclosed within a rectangular shape that is cut off at the top of the face, where it connects with a separate zig-zag pattern, and runs the width of the rectangle. The background zig-zag pattern continues within the rectangles, in alternating bands of black and white.
